Air Astana Group Expands Fleet to 60 with Arrival of New A320neo

Pilotcenter.net News reported the exciting news that the Air Astana Group has reached a fleet size of 60 aircraft, with the recent addition of a brand-new Airbus A320neo in Almaty on March 6, 2025. This growth sees the full-service carrier Air Astana boasting 35 aircraft, while the low-cost carrier FlyArystan operates 25 planes.
The Air Astana Group is on a continuous expansion journey, particularly with its focus on acquiring Airbus family aircraft. The latest Airbus A320neo, freshly arrived from the manufacturer's plant in Toulouse, features 16 business class seats and 132 economy class seats, enhancing the group's flight offerings.
In the past year, both Air Astana and FlyArystan have witnessed substantial growth, with the introduction of advanced Airbus A321LR and Airbus A320neo aircraft taking center stage in Air Astana's network expansion efforts. Notably, Air Astana has launched a new direct route from Almaty International Airport to Da Nang International Airport in Vietnam, further illustrating the airline's commitment to expanding its reach.
CEO of Air Astana Group, Peter Foster shared his enthusiasm about the fleet expansion milestone, stating, “Expanding our fleet to 60 aircraft is a significant milestone for Air Astana Group and an important step towards accomplishing our strategic plans. We will continue to invest in modern aircraft and expand our route network, offering passengers even more opportunities for convenient and affordable travel both within the region and beyond.”
Looking ahead, the Air Astana Group aims to further grow its fleet, with projections indicating a fleet size of 80 aircraft by 2028. This strategic development aligns with the group's vision of enhancing connectivity and service offerings to passengers in the years to come.
