AirAsia has recently unveiled a dazzling new gold livery on their A320 aircraft with registration ​​9M-RAQ as a special way to celebrate being awarded 'Best Low-Cost Airline' by Skytrax for the 16th consecutive year. The grand reveal of the golden aircraft took place on June 19, 2025, at a spectacular send-off ceremony held at Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s (KUL) Terminal 2.

The unique custom livery, themed 'Still Winning, Still Gold,' not only serves as a nod to the airline's impressive track record but also as a tribute to the nearly one billion passengers who have entrusted AirAsia since its inception in 2001. According to AirAsia, the golden design symbolizes the qualities of strength, durability, and resilience - characteristics befitting of their 16th consecutive win.

AirAsia's iconic red and white livery has always been a standout in the skies, and with this stunning golden edition, the airline embarks on a new chapter defined by resilience, consistency, and top-notch service that remains affordable for all.
