Philippine Tourism Secretary, Christina Garcia Frasco, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in enhancing the travel experience for Muslim tourists. She added, “We anticipate that the Santan menu will add even more dishes that are inclusive to our communities in the country bringing more delight to our travelers.”

The continuous growth of the global Muslim travel market is evident, with a projected 230 million international arrivals by 2028 and an expected expenditure of $225 billion. Factors contributing to a Muslim-friendly destination go beyond culinary offerings and include segregated facilities, modest attire for hospitality staff, and a prohibition on gambling and alcohol.
