Avion Express Brasil, a fully owned subsidiary of Avion Express and part of Avia Solutions Group, has recently achieved a significant milestone by obtaining its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). This exciting development signals the official launch of the first specialized ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) operator in Brazil, further solidifying Avion Express’s status as a global leader in ACMI solutions.
Pilotcenter.net News reports that with the AOC now in place, Avion Express Brasil is gearing up to kick off commercial operations in the first quarter of 2025, planning to utilize up to 10 Airbus A320 family aircraft by the year's end. The company aims to expand its fleet to 25 aircraft by 2027/2028 to meet the increasing demand for efficient capacity solutions in Latin America.
Having identified Latin America as a prime growth market, Avion Express has established successful long-term partnerships in Mexico and recently commenced operations in Argentina. Darius Kajokas, CEO of Avion Express, highlights the strategic significance of venturing into Brazil, stating, “Avion Express Brasil’s AOC marks a significant advancement for ACMI solutions, opening up a new market and introducing innovative capacity management solutions to airlines. We are sincerely thankful to ANAC for recognizing the value of this expansion and lending their support.”
In response to the industry's cyclical demand fluctuations, Avion Express’s ACMI solutions are poised to offer Brazilian airlines the flexibility needed to optimize their operations. By addressing capacity gaps while upholding top-tier efficiency and reliability standards, these services aim to bridge operational challenges effectively.

Looking ahead to 2025, as Brazil’s tourism and aviation sectors continue to grow, Avion Express Brasil, backed by investment from Avia Solutions Group, stands ready to provide local airlines with dependable and cost-effective capacity solutions.
Specializing in narrow-body ACMI operations, Avion Express and Avion Express Malta currently operate a fleet of over 50 Airbus A320 family aircraft, offering services to major airlines globally.
