Breeze Airways Achieves First-Ever Profitable Quarter With David Neeleman

In a significant milestone for Breeze Airways, the brainchild of seasoned airline innovator David Neeleman, the carrier has marked a remarkable achievement by turning a profit for the first full quarter since its inception. The airline, known for its focus on linking smaller American cities through direct routes, achieved an impressive 4% operational margin with revenues hitting $220 million in Q4 of 2024. For the entire year, Breeze Airways soared to a revenue of $680 million, showcasing a substantial growth of over 78% compared to the previous year.
The exponential expansion of Breeze Airways has been a testament to its commitment to bridging the gap in underserved markets. Throughout 2024, the airline successfully transported more than 4.2 million passengers, introducing 29 new destinations and boosting its capacity by 52% in terms of available seat miles (ASMs). Launched in 2021, Breeze Airways set out to revolutionize air travel by offering budget-friendly and efficient flight options to regions that were historically neglected by major network carriers.
As the year drew to a close, Breeze Airways celebrated its fleet expansion, boasting a total of 46 aircraft. Among these, 33 are high-performing Airbus A220-300 planes assigned to its core operations, while the remaining ten Embraer E190 and three E195 aircraft primarily cater to chartered flights upon request. Looking ahead, the future looks promising for Breeze Airways, with an order for an additional 90 A220s in place, alongside 30 extra options to further solidify its presence in the market.
