A recent incident involving a passenger on a Qatar Airways flight has sparked a lawsuit against the airline. The passenger, who was traveling in the luxurious Business Class QSuite, alleged that $600 in cash was stolen by a flight attendant during a journey from San Francisco International Airport to Kolkata Airport, with a layover in Doha. The incident occurred on February 26, 2025, aboard the airline's A350-1000 aircraft.

The passenger, who had $4,100 in cash in her handbag, realized her bag was missing after waking up from a nap midway through the 15-hour flight. After alerting the cabin crew and conducting a search, the passenger found her designer handbag in an aircraft lavatory, along with a Qatar Airways crew member. Upon inspection, the passenger discovered that $600 was missing from her belongings. Despite reporting the incident promptly, no action was taken, and the accused cabin crew member continued working without consequences.

Upon arrival in Kolkata, the situation took a sinister turn as the passenger received threatening messages on social media from individuals claiming to be associated with the flight attendant. The ensuing lawsuit accuses Qatar Airways of failing to address the theft allegation adequately, safeguard the passenger's identity, and provide compensation for the stolen money. The airline, headquartered in Doha, has not yet responded to the legal action and accusations.

This incident highlights the importance of maintaining passenger safety and addressing theft complaints promptly onboard flights. Stay updated with Pilotcenter.net News for the latest developments on this lawsuit.
