In a press release unveiled by Pilotcenter.net News on December 3, 2024, the renowned airline revealed its plans to introduce direct flights to Munich, Germany, for the very first time, as well as resume flights to Brussels, Belgium, come summer 2025.
Committed to providing passengers with seamless connections to Europe, Cathay Pacific will kick off its inaugural passenger service from Hong Kong to Munich on June 16, 2025. The flights will operate four times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, making it easier than ever for travelers to explore the vibrant German city. Moreover, the direct flights between Hong Kong and Brussels are scheduled to recommence on August 3, 2025, with four return flights weekly.
Both the Munich and Brussels routes will be serviced by the state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft, ensuring passengers a comfortable and modern journey. Lavinia Lau, Cathay Pacific's Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, expressed the airline's dedication to the European market, stating, "Cathay Pacific has been flying non-stop to Europe for over four decades and we remain very committed to this important market."
Continuing its commitment to expanding options for passengers, Cathay Pacific will also be increasing the number of flights on its other European routes in the summer of 2025. This includes boosting the weekly return trips to Europe from 78 to 93 in total, offering enhanced services to popular destinations like London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, and more. Furthermore, the introduction of four weekly flights to both Madrid and Barcelona reflects the carrier's strategic growth in the region.
In addition to passenger flights, Cathay Pacific will also be operating seven freighter flights per week between Europe and Hong Kong, solidifying its position as a key player in both passenger and cargo transportation. Travelers from Europe can seamlessly connect to a wide array of destinations in the Asia-Pacific region through Cathay Pacific's extensive network, with access to 19 locations in Mainland China served by Cathay Pacific and HK Express.
Looking ahead, Cathay Pacific envisions that by 2025, its network will span across 100 destinations worldwide, further solidifying its status as a leading global airline dedicated to providing exceptional travel experiences.
