Operating on a three-times-weekly summer seasonal service, the Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) to Rome-Fiumicino (FCO) route will be Cathay Pacific’s second direct link between its hub in Hong Kong and Italy. The airline already offers five weekly return flights to Milan-Malpensa (MXP), a service that is set to ramp up to a daily frequency in the summer of 2025.

Travelers on this new 5,778-mile (9,245km) Hong Kong to Rome route can expect top-notch service aboard Cathay Pacific’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft. With a three-class layout accommodating 280 passengers – 38 in business class, 28 in premium economy class, and 214 in economy class – passengers are in for a comfortable and luxurious journey.

Already announced are destinations such as London-Heathrow, Manchester, Amsterdam, Madrid, and many more, with additional destinations to be revealed in the future.

In line with its growth strategy, Cathay Pacific is set to launch direct flights to several exciting destinations in the upcoming months, including Hyderabad, Dallas-Fort Worth, Munich, and Brussels.
