Delta Air Lines has recently enhanced its services from the United States to Argentina with the introduction of its cutting-edge A330-900neo fleet, replacing the previous B767-400ER aircraft on the route. The A330-900neo now operates on Delta flights connecting Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to Ezeiza Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires, as well as the seasonal route between New York John F Kennedy (JFK) and Buenos Aires. Pilotcenter.net News reports that Delta has become the pioneering carrier to bring the A330-900neo to the Argentine market. The switch from the 767-400ER to the A330-900 on the Buenos Aires route has bumped up Delta's capacity by around 20%.
Passengers flying with Delta now have the option to choose from four cabin classes aboard the A330-900neo: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin. AgustÃn Durand, General Sales Manager for Delta in Argentina, Central America, and the Caribbean, expressed enthusiasm about the deployment of the Airbus A330-900neo on Argentine routes, stating, "We are incredibly excited to introduce the Airbus A330-900neo to our operations in Argentina." Durand added that the aircraft not only showcases their dedication to enhancing the customer experience but also bolsters the connectivity between Argentina and the United States, offering world-class service on one of the most modern aircraft available.
Aside from the aircraft upgrade, Delta has significantly increased its capacity from Atlanta to Buenos Aires by approximately 40% for the winter season of 2024-2025. Argentina holds a significant presence in the United States, with around 290,000 individuals of Argentine origin residing there in 2021, making them the 14th-largest Hispanic population group in the country. Delta's move to introduce the innovative A330-900neo underscores its commitment to delivering top-notch service and fostering stronger connections between these two nations.
