Dubai ruler enjoys sneak peek of new Emirates A350 before public reveal

Pilotcenter.net News had the privilege of accompanying the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, on an exclusive tour of Emirates' groundbreaking Airbus A350, marking a significant milestone in the airline's history. Joining the Dubai Ruler on this special occasion was Emirates' Chairman and CEO, Ahmed bin Saeed, who commended Sheikh Mohammed for his steadfast leadership in shaping the success of the airline.
Emirates welcomed its inaugural Airbus A350 in a grand ceremony in Toulouse, France, on November 25, 2024, before the aircraft embarked on its journey to Dubai International Airport (DXB) later that day. In a recent visit to the Emirates Engineering hub in Dubai on November 27, 2024, Sheikh Mohammed explored the airline's first of 65 A350-900 aircraft, immersing himself in its innovative design elements and advanced technologies. During the visit, he also received a detailed briefing on Emirates' A350 network strategies and how this state-of-the-art aircraft model fits into the broader expansion plans of the airline.
Scheduled for its official unveiling on November 27, 2024, the Airbus A350-941, registered as A6-EXA, has captivated media representatives with its cutting-edge features. Reflecting on this momentous occasion, Ahmed bin Saeed expressed, "Today marks a significant milestone for Emirates as we introduce our inaugural A350, signaling a new chapter in our fleet and network development. This aircraft paves the way for Emirates to extend its reach, offering enhanced range, efficiency, and flexibility, enabling us to meet the evolving needs of our customers in new markets and unlock fresh opportunities in the cities we serve."
The new Emirates A350 boasts three luxurious cabin classes, accommodating a total of 312 passengers, including 32 next-generation business class lie-flat seats, 21 premium economy seats, and 259 economy class seats, promising an unparalleled travel experience. Furthermore, Emirates has announced plans to advance the launch of its daily A350 service to Edinburgh, commencing from January 3, 2025, with the aircraft set to operate on additional routes like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kuwait, Bahrain, Colombo, Lyon, Muscat, and Bologna, with more destinations in the pipeline.
