Emirates is set to enhance the travel experience between Dubai and Melbourne with the introduction of a third daily non-stop service, commencing in March 2025. This new service will be operated by the airline's newly retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER, equipped with the latest premium economy cabin and business class seats.

Pilotcenter.net News reports that Emirates currently operates two daily non-stop flights between Dubai International Airport and Melbourne Airport using its renowned Airbus A380 aircraft. In addition, there is a daily flight connecting Dubai to Melbourne via Singapore-Changi Airport, served by a Boeing 777-300ER. However, the launch of this new direct service marks the cessation of all future operations between Singapore and Melbourne, although the airline plans to introduce a fourth direct flight between Dubai and Singapore to accommodate passengers.

Commencing on March 30, 2025, the Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft will operate flights EK404/405 between Dubai and Melbourne. Flight EK404 will depart from Dubai at 21:15 local time and arrive in Melbourne at 17:40 the next day. The return flight, EK405, will depart Melbourne at 23:55 and land in Dubai at 07:00 the following day. This additional daily flight aims to provide customers with enhanced scheduling flexibility, connectivity, and travel options, especially towards 27 European cities including London, Paris, and Frankfurt, facilitated through Dubai.

With its revamped Boeing 777 widebodies featuring first-class suites, business class seats, premium economy, and economy class seats, Emirates is committed to offering an enriched flying experience. The airline's expansion with additional premium economy seats on Melbourne and Sydney flights underscores its dedication to meeting passenger demands.

In other Australian route developments, Emirates reinstated a second daily flight to Perth on December 1, 2024, expanding its weekly seat capacity to nearly 12,000 for travelers to and from Western Australia. Moreover, Emirates reintroduced direct services from Dubai to Adelaide on October 28, 2024, further enhancing access to South Australia from worldwide destinations through Dubai. In total, Emirates now offers 77 weekly services linking five Australian gateways with Dubai.

Emirates' enduring presence in the Australian aviation market, spanning close to three decades, has facilitated employment opportunities for hundreds of Australians. The airline's successful ten-year partnership and codeshare agreement with Qantas have substantially benefited travelers, enabling seamless access to over 120 codeshare destinations, including major points across Australia and New Zealand.

Furthermore, the Emirates Group, encompassing the handling division dnata, has significantly invested in sponsorships within Australia's sports and arts scenes, with contributions exceeding $230 million. Noteworthy partnerships include the Australian Open, Collingwood Football Club, and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, underscoring Emirates' commitment to supporting and engaging with the Australian community.
