Exciting news in the aviation world as Emirates has just welcomed its very first Airbus A350 in a grand delivery ceremony in Toulouse, France. The airline is gearing up to ferry this new addition to Dubai International Airport in just a few hours, marking a significant milestone for their fleet.

Pilotcenter.net News reports that after some minor setbacks with delivery dates, Emirates proudly showcases the arrival of the A350-900, the first of 65 that are set to join their fleet. This elegant aircraft, registered as A6-EXA, has been turning heads in Toulouse as it underwent crucial tests and its maiden flight.

Emirates highlights that the A350-900's delivery signifies a momentous occasion as it becomes the first new aircraft type to grace their skies since 2008. What's particularly noteworthy is that this sleek plane will be fueled by a mix of traditional jet fuel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) during its ferry flight to Dubai.

The airline has big plans for their new Airbus A350-900, with commercial service slated to kick off in January 2025. Edinburgh will be its first stop followed by a lineup of eight other destinations spanning the Middle East, West Asia, and Europe. This launch comes on the heels of Emirates' initial order of 50 A350s back in 2019, a commitment that was later bolstered by an additional 15 jets in 2023.

Despite some delays in the delivery timeline, caused in part by ongoing production challenges faced by Airbus, the anticipation surrounding this new addition has only grown. Upon landing in Dubai, the A350 will undergo final preparations at Emirates Engineering before a grand unveiling at a special event soon after.

For aviation enthusiasts eager to follow this momentous journey, tracking the flight on platforms like flightradar24 adds a touch of excitement to the unfolding narrative. Stay tuned as Emirates ushers in a new era with the arrival of its impressive Airbus A350-900!
