Celebrating a milestone at Zayed International Airport (AUH), Etihad Airways has marked a year at Terminal A with a significant increase in weekly flights, soaring from 1,336 to 1,732. The move from Terminal 3 to Terminal A was completed in November 2023, signifying a new era for the airline.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “In just one year, Terminal A has transformed the travel experience for our guests and supported Etihad’s ambitious growth plans.” He emphasized the positive impact of this move on service standards, comfort, and convenience, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a global aviation hub.
The new terminal provides a platform for Etihad’s future development as they focus on expanding their network and fleet. With the premium lounge spanning three floors and featuring amenities like the Liwan Global Dining restaurant and the striking Constellation Bar showcasing a glass lighting sculpture of the Abu Dhabi skyline, passengers are in for an elevated experience.
Additionally, the Be Relax Spa, available for all passengers and offering complimentary treatments for First Class and Residence guests, adds to the luxury offerings at Terminal A. Notably, the recent relocation of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility to Terminal A has enhanced the overall passenger experience, establishing Abu Dhabi as the only US preclearance destination.
