Departing from Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport on February 1, 2025, the Etihad Airbus A380-800, registered as A6-API, made its grand entrance at Singapore Changi Airport the following day during the morning hours. The decision to bring this impressive aircraft to Singapore was shared by Etihad Airways back in August 2024, coinciding with the exciting occasion of Singapore National Day.

Joining the prestigious list of global destinations served by Etihad's A380s, which includes London-Heathrow Airport, New York’s John F Kennedy Airport, and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, Singapore is now set to witness over 700 additional seats weekly on this popular daily service. The A380 aircraft also offers passengers a luxurious experience with features like The Residence - labeled as "the world's only three-room suite in the sky."
