Etihad Airways to Enhance Italian Network with Third Daily Flight to Milan
Get ready for more opportunities to travel between Abu Dhabi and Milan as Etihad Airways gears up to introduce a third daily flight to Milan-Malpensa Airport starting November 1, 2025. This move marks a significant expansion of the airline's services to Italy, with up to 12,600 seats per week set to be offered between the two cities. The increase in flight frequency represents a substantial capacity boost of nearly 115% year-on-year.
Operated by a mix of Boeing 777-300 and Airbus A321LR aircraft from Etihad’s fleet, the new third daily service will introduce passengers to a cutting-edge travel experience. Etihad will be adding the spacious A321LR to its fleet later in 2025, just in time for the launch of these services. The airline promises a premium boutique experience with this new cabin design, featuring innovative comfort features that set it apart.
Highlighting the charms of Milan, an Etihad statement expressed, “Milan captivates visitors with its perfect blend of historic grandeur and contemporary innovation. From the magnificent Duomo cathedral to the cutting-edge design districts, from high-end fashion boutiques to artisanal workshops, the city offers endless discoveries” – making it an irresistible destination for travelers.
To cater to the needs of both business and leisure travelers, the flight schedule for the third daily service has been carefully designed for maximum convenience. Etihad will offer daily departures to Milan at 02:45, 09:10, and 14:25 respectively, with corresponding arrival times in Milan at 06:40, 13:15, and 18:20. Return flights depart from Milan at 09:55, 15:10, and 21:50, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 19:00, 00:25 (+1), and 06:55 (+1).
Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, expressed enthusiasm about the improved schedule, stating, “With our morning, afternoon, and evening departures from Abu Dhabi and sensational value fares, our triple-daily Milan flights serve up perfect timings for guests traveling in both directions.”
Etihad Airways is set for a remarkable year ahead, with a proactive expansion strategy already in motion. Recent announcements include direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Nairobi, a codeshare agreement with Air Astana, and plans to introduce services to ten new destinations in 2025. This ongoing growth aligns with the airline's ambitious fleet expansion plans, with a current fleet of 104 aircraft and an additional 98 on order, comprising various models like the Airbus A321LRs, A350-1000s, 777-8s, 777-9s, and 787s.
Stay tuned as Etihad Airways continues to strengthen its global network and enhance the travel experience for passengers in the year ahead.
