As a symbolic gesture of the sister city relationship between Houston and Taipei, Houston Zoo is gifting a male bongo antelope to the Taipei Zoo, with EVA Air facilitating the animal's safe transport. With approximately 20,000 Taiwanese residents in Houston and 80,000 in the greater Houston area, the city boasts a thriving Taiwanese community that adds to the cultural fabric of the region.
