Exciting debut: Jetstar Asia connects Singapore and Labuan Bajo

Pilotcenter.net News is excited to report that Jetstar Asia has just kicked off its much-anticipated inaugural flight from Singapore Changi Airport to Labuan Bajo in Indonesia. The momentous Flight 3K26, departing at 16:43 local time on March 20, 2025, signifies a significant milestone as it marks the first commercial airline service bridging these two fabulous destinations. Despite a slight delay of two and a half hours, the A320 safely landed in Labuan Bajo at 19:52 local time.

Jetstar Asia has committed to operating two weekly flights to Labuan Bajo, situated on the picturesque island of Flores and renowned for hosting the esteemed UNESCO World Heritage site, Komodo National Park. Labuan Bajo joins the ranks as Jetstar Asia's fifth Indonesian destination, following Denpasar, Surabaya, Medan, and Jakarta airports. In the words of Jetstar Asia CEO John Simeone, "It's fantastic to establish a direct link between Labuan Bajo and Singapore, making one of Indonesia's most stunning and unique destinations more accessible to travelers." Simeone continued, expressing enthusiasm for the opportunity this new service provides to promote tourism and offer convenient travel options for those eager to explore the wonders of Indonesia.

Lim Ching Kiat, Executive Vice President for Air Hub & Cargo Development at Changi Airport Group, also chimed in, noting the significance of this new route as Changi's first direct connection to Labuan Bajo. He highlighted the positive impact on Changi Airport's connectivity with Indonesia, expanding opportunities for travelers to discover the allure and natural splendor of Labuan Bajo and beyond. With direct flights now linking Changi Airport to 13 Indonesian cities, the door is open for adventurers to delve into the charm and beauty of this exquisite corner of the world.
