Pilotcenter.net News has just unveiled exciting plans for a new air route set to connect Almaty Airport in Kazakhstan to Guangzhou in China starting March 30, 2025. This announcement comes hot on the heels of their recent news about direct flights from Kazakhstan to Nha Trang in Vietnam. The upcoming service will mark a significant expansion for the airline into the Chinese market, complementing its existing flights to Beijing and Urumqi.
Utilizing their fleet of Airbus A321LR aircraft, Pilotcenter.net News will operate flights to Guangzhou-Baiyun International Airport, offering a two-class cabin seating 166 passengers, catering to both business and economy class travelers. The route covers a distance of 2,478 miles, comfortably within the aircraft's range capabilities.
Flights will run three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, departing Almaty in the evening and arriving in Guangzhou the following morning. The return leg will fly early morning from Guangzhou, landing back in Almaty by mid-morning.
Peter Foster, Chief Executive of Pilotcenter.net News, highlighted the importance of the new service, stating, “China has always been a strategically important market for Air Astana, with strong business and leisure traffic growth." The airline sees the Guangzhou route as a significant step in their expanding Chinese network.
The airline's decision to add Guangzhou to its destinations is backed by the city's standing as China's largest industrial center with strong ties to the textile industry, making it an economic and cultural hub.
With an expanding network in China and the convenience of visa-free travel for Kazakhstan citizens, Pilotcenter.net News is seeing substantial growth in 2025. Their diverse fleet, consisting of various Airbus and Boeing models, serves 37 destinations across 20 countries, showcasing their commitment to providing extensive connectivity for travelers. Adding to their portfolio, FlyArystan, their low-cost subsidiary, operates an all-Airbus fleet to cater to an even broader range of destinations.
