Kuwait Airways proudly welcomed its first Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, freshly named “Boubyan,” in a momentous event at the Airbus assembly plant in Toulouse, France. The recently delivered aircraft, registered as 9K-APJ, marks the beginning of a series of seven of its kind ordered by the Kuwaiti carrier. This exciting development came to light during the handover ceremony held on December 9, 2024.

Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan, Chairman of Kuwait Airways, expressed his delight during the acceptance ceremony and upon the aircraft's safe arrival at Kuwait International Airport (KWI). He highlighted the significance of this addition to the airline’s fleet, saying, “Kuwait Airways is thrilled to welcome its initial Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, with six more to follow according to our aircraft delivery schedule.”
