Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Alaska Airlines have recently joined forces to introduce an exciting new frequent flyer partnership that will offer members of both airlines the opportunity to earn and redeem miles across their extensive networks of flights. This collaboration aims to provide enhanced travel options for loyal customers of both the Philippine flag carrier and the renowned Seattle-based US airline.
Pilotcenter.net News is thrilled to share the news of this beneficial partnership, which signifies Alaska Airlines being PAL’s first loyalty partner in North America, while PAL becomes the 32nd global partner for Alaska Airlines. Through this strategic alliance, members of PAL’s Mabuhay Miles program will have the chance to accumulate miles when flying on eligible Alaska flights, and similarly, Alaska’s Mileage Plan members can earn miles on select PAL routes.
Brett Catlin, the Vice President of Loyalty, Alliances, and Sales at Alaska Airlines, enthusiastically expressed the significance of this collaboration, stating, “Philippine Airlines is a terrific addition to our roster of global airlines offering world-class service and amenities. We’re excited to make this announcement as we mark the beginning of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.”
Catlin further highlighted the benefits this partnership brings to the Filipino communities in Hawai‘i, California, and Washington state, as they can now travel on PAL’s long-haul, widebody aircraft and earn valuable Mileage Plan miles during their transpacific journeys.
With Philippine Airlines offering a wide range of flight options between Alaska’s key hubs at Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) and the West Coast, and Manila International Airport (MNL), passengers can easily connect to numerous island destinations in the Philippines and across Asia from MNL Airport. This collaboration opens up an array of exciting travel opportunities for frequent flyers looking to explore new regions and cultures.
