Hawaiian Airlines has transformed the skies into a magical realm with the introduction of its new, Disney-inspired Airbus A330 livery. Channeling the spirit of 'Ohana from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, the airline's collaboration with Disney celebrates the upcoming live-action adaptation of the beloved movie set to premiere on May 23, 2025.
Embracing the idea that 'Ohana means family, Hawaiian Airlines is infusing the essence of Lilo & Stitch into their fleet, starting with the A330 featuring Lilo’s friendly face proudly displayed on the fuselage and the movie title boldly emblazoned on the engines. This marks the first of three aircraft showcasing livery inspired by the heartwarming tale.
Promoting values of family and unity, Hawaiian Airlines views each guest as a cherished member of its 'ohana, offering authentic Hawaiian hospitality that creates a sense of belonging. Alisa Onishi, Director of Brand and Culture at Hawaiian Airlines, expressed the sentiment, “At Hawaiian Airlines, Hawai‘i is our home, and we consider our guests to be our ‘ohana.”
The airline aims to extend a warm aloha spirit to all visitors to the islands, drawing parallels between the welcoming nature of Lilo towards Stitch and the hospitality guests can expect on their Hawaiian Airlines journey. Additionally, as part of this enchanting collaboration, Stitch will serve as the new Travel Pono ambassador with an augmented reality experience and star in the in-flight video, imparting valuable lessons on responsible travel behavior.
As the second aircraft, an Airbus A321 featuring Stitch’s whimsical creation, is set to be unveiled soon, Hawaiian Airlines is poised to further enchant passengers by immersing them in the magical world of 'Ohana and Hawaiian hospitality, one flight at a time.
