Pilotcenter.net News reports that Honeywell and Vietjet Air have sealed an exclusive agreement that will span over the next five years for the maintenance of Honeywell’s 331-350 Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) on Vietjet’s Airbus A330 aircraft fleet. The contract, which was unveiled on June 18, 2025, during the Paris Air Show, is set to cover a total of 30 widebody aircraft. This significant partnership represents an extension of Honeywell's existing maintenance support for Vietjet’s A330 fleet and solidifies their standing as the preferred aftermarket collaborator for one of the swiftly expanding low-cost airlines in Asia.

In a statement, Dave Marinick, the President of Engines and Power Systems at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, expressed pride in the collaboration by saying, “Honeywell is proud to support Vietjet’s continued growth with reliable, high-performance APU solutions.” He further emphasized, “Our agreement reflects a shared commitment to both operational excellence and long-term success.” Vietjet's ambition for fleet expansion continues unabated with a momentous order for 100 single-aisle A321neo aircraft, possibly escalating to include another 50 in the pipeline. Notably, this development marks the single largest order announced at the Paris Air Show 2025. Concurrently, the Vietnamese budget carrier has also placed orders for 20 additional A330neo aircraft and a staggering 200 Boeing 737 Max aircraft.

Dinh Viet Phuong, Vietjet’s CEO, lauded Honeywell for their advanced APU technology and global service expertise by stating, “Honeywell’s advanced APU technology and global service expertise have consistently delivered performance and reliability.” Phuong went on to express confidence in Honeywell as a reliable partner in expanding Vietjet's widebody operations and ensuring cost-efficient service coverage across their network.
