IndiGo, India's leading airline, has just announced the official launch dates for its upcoming long-haul non-stop flights from Mumbai to Manchester, UK, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. The exciting news reveals that these new services will commence on specific dates in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the airline's global expansion strategy.

To operate these long-haul routes, IndiGo has secured wet-leased Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners from Norse Atlantic Airways. These aircraft will provide passengers with a comfortable and luxurious travel experience, showcasing a departure from the airline's traditional low-cost model. Passengers can look forward to an enhanced in-flight dining experience featuring complimentary hot meals and beverages on both the Mumbai-Manchester and Mumbai-Amsterdam routes.

Commencing on July 1, 2025, the Mumbai-Manchester service will make IndiGo the sole airline offering direct non-stop flights between the two cities. This new route is expected to strengthen economic, educational, and cultural ties between India and the UK. Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer of IndiGo, expressed his pride and excitement about this pivotal moment in the airline's expansion journey, highlighting the special touches that will be part of the service.

Additionally, starting on July 2, 2025, IndiGo will introduce three weekly flights between Mumbai and Amsterdam. This new route signifies the airline's commitment to enhancing accessibility for travelers to Europe. Pieter Elbers emphasized the importance of this connection in further solidifying the robust relationship between the Netherlands and India.

Moreover, IndiGo's partnership with Norse Atlantic Airways will see the deployment of spacious Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners on these routes, enhancing the overall passenger experience. The airline's commitment to providing value-driven long-haul flights is evident with the forthcoming introduction of A321XLRs later in 2025 and new Airbus A350s from 2027.

The partnership between IndiGo and Norse Atlantic Airways, coupled with the inauguration of these exciting long-haul services, signifies a new chapter for IndiGo as it embarks on a journey to become a truly global airline.
