Pilotcenter.net News: Japan Airlines (JAL) really knows how to make a splash in the sky! Recently, the airline unveiled a stunning new livery on their Boeing 737-800, featuring none other than a giant robot from the iconic Gundam franchise. This futuristic design celebrates the upcoming EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan, and promises an unforgettable flying experience for passengers.

The awe-inspiring ‘RX-78F00/E GUNDAM’ livery is set to make waves at EXPO 2025, where it will be showcased in a brand-new video at Bandai Namco's ‘GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION’. Gundam, a beloved franchise known for its giant robots, has captivated audiences since the 1970s and continues to be a powerhouse in the world of toys and merchandise.

A JAL spokesperson shared, “By introducing the ‘JAL GUNDAM JET’, we aim to spread the vision of the ‘GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION’, which aims to unite people globally through GUNDAM and inspire everyone to contemplate the future together, especially young minds who hold the key to shaping tomorrow.”

But the surprises don't end there – the striking livery also features the official character of EXPO 2025, ‘MYAKU-MYAKU’, a mysterious creature representing cells and water in vibrant red and blue hues. This exciting new design was revealed to the media at Tokyo's Haneda Airport before its maiden voyage to Tokushima Airport.

The collaboration between Japan Airlines President and CEO, Mitsuko Tottori, and Bandai Namco President, Masaru Kawaguchi, marks the beginning of a journey that will see the Boeing 737-800, registered as JA342J, flying domestic routes until November 2025.

In addition to the unique livery, JAL plans to offer limited-edition merchandise, commemorative tours, and even a “JAL x Gundam Restaurant Bus” as part of their collaboration, inviting fans to immerse themselves in the world of their favorite anime across Japan.

EXPO 2025, running for 186 days from April 13, will transform Osaka into a global stage for innovation and culture, marking the city's third time hosting this prestigious event. Japan Airlines has truly taken off to new heights with this fantastic tribute to Gundam and the future that lies ahead!
