Jetstar Australia has just made travel dreams come true with the launch of non-stop flights from Sydney to Vanuatu’s Bauerfield International Airport. The inaugural flight took off on December 12, 2024, marking the beginning of a convenient connection between the two vibrant cities. Travelers can now enjoy up to four weekly flights, providing more than 80,000 seats annually to explore the beautiful landscapes and rich culture of Vanuatu.
This new service is part of Jetstar’s ongoing commitment to expanding its presence in the Pacific, with recent additions including routes to Rarotonga, the Cook Islands, and Nadi in Fiji. According to Jetstar's Executive Manager, Customer, Jenn Armor, "Vanuatu should be on every holidaymaker’s bucket list for its spectacular scenery, captivating island culture, and range of outdoor activities.” With Jetstar offering the only direct flights from Sydney, reaching this Pacific island paradise has never been easier or more affordable.
As part of a broader network expansion in 2024, Jetstar is set to launch 14 new routes, with four of these taking off within a fortnight. This initiative aims to make travel more accessible to a wider audience, providing budget-friendly options for exploring new destinations. With Jetstar leading the way, the world is truly becoming a smaller and more interconnected place for adventurous travelers.
