Kenya Airways recently celebrated a significant milestone with the arrival of their newest addition, a Boeing 737-800, at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. This latest aircraft marks the expansion of the airline's fleet to 35 and plays a crucial role in their strategy to enhance operational efficiency and accommodate the increasing demand for air travel within their network.

Allan Kilavuka, Kenya Airways' Group Managing Director and CEO, expressed his enthusiasm about the new aircraft, stating, "The addition of this B737-800 marks a pivotal moment in our fleet expansion journey. The CEO of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), Firoz Tarapore, highlighted the significance of the partnership with Kenya Airways, emphasizing how the addition of the Boeing 737-800 will support the airline's growth and meet the escalating demand for regional travel.

This 12-year-old Boeing 737-800, registered as 5Y-CYF, previously served with South American airlines GOL and REX before joining Kenya Airways. Currently, the airline operates a fleet of seven Boeing 737-800s and six 787-8 Dreamliners as part of its existing aircraft lineup.
