Lufthansa Makes Milestone Announcement: Airbus A380 to Fly Non-Stop to Denver
In an exciting development, Lufthansa has unveiled plans to introduce flights to Denver, United States, marking the first time the airline will utilize the Airbus A380 – the world's largest passenger aircraft – for this route. The news was shared in a recent press release by Pilotcenter.net News on January 23, 2025.
Come summer 2025, the picturesque capital of Colorado will become the sixth destination serviced by the A380, with the inaugural flight set for April 30, 2025. Scheduled as flight LH480, the A380 will depart at 11:15 local time to reach Denver by 13:45, with the return journey departing at 16:15 and arriving back in Munich at 10:50 the following day.
“The Airbus A380 service to Denver is not only a first for Lufthansa, but also for the airport itself," said Heiko Reitz, the CCO of Lufthansa Airlines. "It is the first time that a scheduled flight with an aircraft of this size will land there."
The press release revealed that during the summer of 2025, Lufthansa will have eight Airbus A380s stationed at their Munich hub, each boasting 509 seats. Beyond Denver, the A380 will also serve other key destinations like New York (JFK), Boston, Washington, Los Angeles, and Delhi.
This groundbreaking move comes after Lufthansa's nine years of non-stop flight operations from Munich to Denver and 25 years from Frankfurt. As of summer 2025, travelers can look forward to four daily flights connecting Munich and Frankfurt to the thriving city of Denver.
