Qanot Sharq Airlines to Lease Five A321neos from Air Lease Corporation

Air Lease Corporation (ALC), a US-based aircraft lessor, recently announced a significant development in their partnership with Uzbekistani carrier Qanot Sharq Airlines. The news, revealed on February 18, 2025, showcases the signing of long-term lease agreements for five cutting-edge Airbus A321neo narrowbodies.
Under this exciting deal, Qanot Sharq Airlines, operating out of Tashkent, will be welcoming these new aircraft between 2026 and 2027. These planes are sourced from ALC’s existing order book with the reputable European aircraft manufacturer. Specifically, the agreement includes three A321XLRs and two additional A321LRs, bolstering the carrier’s Airbus fleet alongside their current lineup consisting of two A320-200s, two A321neos, and two A330-200s.
Established in 2021 as Uzbekistan’s first privately owned airline, Qanot Sharq has been steadily building its presence, offering scheduled and charter services from various regional airports in Uzbekistan to an array of international destinations spanning continents. From Tel Aviv to Bangkok, and Budapest to Milan, the airline has been expanding its routes to provide convenient connectivity for travelers.
