Australia's leading airline, Qantas, has exciting news for frequent flyers – a new collaboration with Hawaiian Airlines to enhance travel opportunities and rewards for passengers. In a strategic move announced earlier this year, the two national carriers have joined forces to offer Qantas frequent flyer program members the ability to utilize their points for booking reward seats on Hawaiian Airlines starting from June 5, 2025.

This partnership opens up a world of possibilities, allowing Qantas FFP members access to Hawaiian Airlines' extensive global network. From the captivating Hawaiian Islands to various cities in the US and international destinations, travelers can now explore more destinations with the flexibility of using their Qantas points.

Andrew Glance, Qantas Loyalty CEO, expressed the company's enthusiasm for this collaboration, noting, "We know Hawaii is one of the most sought-after destinations for our frequent flyers, and the partnership with Hawaiian Airlines will be welcome news for members eyeing up their next overseas trip." He highlighted the convenience this brings to travelers, who can now seamlessly connect to major Hawaiian Islands or plan a stopover in Honolulu on their way to North America.

With the recent debut of Qantas' direct Melbourne to Honolulu service, this partnership comes at an opportune time, offering members an expanded range of routes and more travel rewards options. Glance emphasized the importance of evolving their network to meet the evolving needs of passengers and ensure they maximize the value of their points.

The collaboration with Hawaiian Airlines strengthens Qantas' network further, building on the growth of seat availability through flagship partners in recent years. Additionally, a bilateral codeshare agreement with Hawaiian Airlines sets the stage for enhanced travel experiences as Qantas approaches its oneworld membership in 2026, promising passengers a more seamless network within Hawaii and connections to the US mainland.

Alex Judson, Managing Director of Partnerships and International at Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines, shared his excitement about extending their unique onboard services and authentic Hawaiian hospitality to more Australian travelers through this partnership. He highlighted the value that Qantas Frequent Flyers will experience when redeeming their points to begin their journey on Hawaiian Airlines, known for its outstanding services and premium travel experiences.

For nearly a century, Hawaiian Airlines has been a trusted name in aviation, offering passengers exceptional services on their Airbus A330 aircraft operating between Sydney and Honolulu. With a range of seating options, including lie-flat leather seats and spacious cabins, passengers can expect a comfortable and luxurious travel experience with this longstanding airline.

This collaboration between Qantas and Hawaiian Airlines marks a significant milestone in enhancing travel rewards and opportunities for passengers, allowing them to explore new destinations and create unforgettable travel experiences. Keep an eye out for more updates as this partnership unfolds and unlocks exciting possibilities for frequent flyers.
