Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has once again taken the crown, being named the World’s Leading Cabin Crew at the prestigious 2024 World Travel Awards held in the scenic Madeira, Portugal. This remarkable achievement marks the fifth consecutive year that the Brunei flag carrier has secured this esteemed title, showcasing their unwavering commitment to excellence in the aviation industry. The accolade was bestowed upon RB at the glittering Grand Final Gala ceremony hosted at the opulent Savoy Palace in Funchal, Madeira on November 24, 2024.

Captain Sabirin Hj Abd Hamid, the esteemed CEO of Royal Brunei Airlines, expressed his pride and gratitude, stating, “Our cabin crew are the heartbeat of Royal Brunei Airlines, and this award is a testament to their exceptional talent, professionalism, and unwavering passion.” He emphasized that winning the World’s Leading Cabin Crew award five years in a row is a significant milestone for both RB and Brunei Darussalam, underlining their dedication to delivering exceptional service and upholding their national vision of Wawasan 2035.

Audrey Keasberry, the Manager of Cabin Crew at Royal Brunei, who graciously accepted the award on behalf of the airline, also shared her sentiments, stating, “This accolade is a testament to the dedication and sincerity of every member of our cabin crew team, who tirelessly work to deliver a service that is not only world-class but also distinctly Bruneian in essence.” She further emphasized how this prestigious recognition, received shortly after celebrating RB’s 50th Anniversary, reinforces the airline's core values of sincerity, dedication, and excellence, as they proudly represent Brunei Darussalam on a global platform, showcasing the finest hospitality of the nation.

Established in 1974, Royal Brunei Airlines commemorated its golden jubilee on November 18, 2024, with a series of significant milestones. In a bid to enhance its operations and services, the airline announced a fleet expansion plan with the procurement of four state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 aircraft while also introducing new routes, including services to Chennai International Airport (MAA) and Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport in Balikpapan (BPN), Indonesia. Additionally, RB played host to several pivotal events in 2024, such as the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Brunei Sustainable Aviation Fuel Capacity Building Session and the 68th Assembly of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines, further solidifying its position as a key player in the aviation industry.
