Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), proudly representing the flag carrier of Scandinavia, has recently delighted travelers with news of an expanded global network. Excitingly, they have extended their codeshare agreement with Air France-KLM, offering an array of new travel options for customers. Notably, SAS passengers can now embark on journeys to Fortaleza and Salvador de Bahia in Brazil, as well as Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa, as recently announced by the airline.
In light of this development, travelers have the opportunity to book flights to these captivating new destinations, in addition to accessing an increasing selection of codeshare routes spanning across Europe and beyond. Reflecting on this milestone, Paul Verhagen, the esteemed Chief Commercial Officer at SAS, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Our partnership with Air France-KLM continues to unlock new opportunities for our travelers, and we are thrilled to now offer our customers a trip to Fortaleza and Salvador de Bahia for the first time ever.”
Verhagen further emphasized the evolving nature of their codeshare destinations, promising continued growth in connectivity and convenience for both SAS and its valued partners. This expansion supplements SAS's existing codeshare agreement with Air France and KLM within Europe and to/from Tokyo, following their Alliance Adherence Agreement with SkyTeam Alliance in April 2024.
With this latest initiative, SAS endeavors to enhance connectivity to and from Scandinavia, encompassing captivating new Asian destinations like Osaka and Bangkok, in addition to several alluring cities in Brazil such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Fortaleza, and Salvador de Bahia, along with the charming South African locales of Johannesburg and Cape Town. The future looks bright for travelers seeking enhanced travel options via SAS’s partnership with Air France-KLM!
