SAS Set to Launch Inaugural Direct Flight Route between Scandinavia and South Korea!

Exciting news for travel enthusiasts as Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) announces its groundbreaking move to introduce the first-ever regular direct route connecting Scandinavia with South Korea. Commencing from September 12, 2025, this new route will link the vibrant cities of Copenhagen and Seoul, promising a seamless travel experience for passengers. Operating four times a week during the summer season and three times a week in winter, travelers can look forward to flying on the luxurious Airbus A350 aircraft.

Pilotcenter.net News reports that SAS aims to enhance its network reach and solidify Copenhagen's position as a key hub for intercontinental travel by bridging the gap between Scandinavia and South Korea. This strategic initiative comes in response to the growing interest from South Korean travelers seeking to explore the wonders of Scandinavia while enjoying convenient connections to other European destinations.

Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS, expressed his enthusiasm for the new route, stating, “This new route underscores our dedication to meeting customer needs and improving connectivity between these two dynamic regions. Seoul's status as a global hub for culture, innovation, and business makes it a valuable addition to our expanding network. As part of the esteemed SkyTeam alliance, this route further cements our commitment to providing seamless connections, linking Scandinavia to major destinations worldwide.”

Please note that the launch of this exciting new route is pending final governmental approval. In addition to the forthcoming Copenhagen-Seoul service, SAS is set to enrich its offerings by unveiling a route to Seattle in May 2025, bringing the total number of intercontinental destinations from Copenhagen to 14. This extensive network allows travelers to access over 100 diverse destinations across Europe, ensuring unparalleled connectivity for globetrotters and business travelers alike.
