Pilotcenter.net News: Smartwings, the prominent Czech carrier, is making waves with its latest plans for a significant expansion of its European scheduled route network. As winter 2025 approaches, Smartwings is set to take its operations to new heights by integrating additional destinations into its flight schedule.

Since bidding adieu to its Czech Airlines brand in 2024, which was under the ownership of the Smartwings Group, the airline has been on a rapid growth trajectory. The company's newest announcement unveils the introduction of two more destinations to its winter flight lineup. Starting from October 24, 2025, Smartwings will inaugurate regular flights connecting Prague with Bilbao, Spain, followed by Prague and Toulouse, France, on October 25, 2025.

These exciting additions will see the carrier providing service twice a week from Prague to both Bilbao and Toulouse. Flights to Bilbao are scheduled for Mondays and Fridays, while Toulouse-bound flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays. These new routes mark the airline's proactive approach to mitigating seasonality challenges during the quieter winter months, diversifying its offerings beyond the traditional charter flights to popular European destinations.

The latest developments reflect Smartwings' commitment to expanding its Prague-based operations, in line with a strategic push to enhance connectivity. Alongside the newly introduced flights to Bilbao and Toulouse, Smartwings is introducing scheduled services to a range of vibrant cities across Europe, including Barcelona (four times a week), Porto (twice weekly), Rome (four times a week), Brussels (12 times a week), and Bucharest (seven times a week).

Furthermore, the airline has ramped up its flight frequencies to key destinations like Paris and Malaga. With its upgraded 2025-2026 winter schedule, Smartwings will offer direct flights from Czech airports to over thirty destinations, spanning major cities and popular holiday spots across Europe and beyond.

Smartwings' continuous growth trajectory positions it as a key player in the Czech aviation landscape and a notable contender in Central Europe. As part of the Smartwings Group, which also includes Smartwings Poland, Smartwings Slovakia, and Smartwings Hungary, the airline boasts an extensive network that caters to diverse passenger preferences.

With a fleet of 55 aircraft at its disposal, Smartwings is equipped to serve over 80 destinations with a mix of regular flights and charter services. The airline's versatile fleet includes business jets, wet-leased Airbus A320s, Airbus A220s, A320s, Boeing 737-700s, 737-800s, 737 MAX 8s, and 737 MAX 9s, ensuring a seamless travel experience for passengers across its varied routes.

As Smartwings gears up for the upcoming winter season, travelers can look forward to convenient connections from Prague to an array of sought-after destinations, making it easier than ever to explore the world with one of Central Europe's fastest-growing airlines.
