Hawaiian Airlines recently provided a glimpse into the design of its upcoming lounge at the Honolulu Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL). Scheduled to open by the end of 2027, this lounge is a key feature of the Alaska Air Group’s strategic plan post their acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines. Drawing inspiration from Hawaii’s natural beauty, the lounge's initial concept includes artistic features, vibrant colors, and innovative lighting designs.

This new lounge, located at the Mauka Concourse entrance in Terminal 1, will be significantly larger than Hawaiian Airlines' current lounge in Honolulu, offering a more spacious and luxurious experience for guests of both Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines. Further details regarding the final design and guest access will be announced soon.

Todd Traynor-Corey, Vice President of guest products & experience at Alaska Airlines, expressed excitement about the unveiling of the new lounge, stating, “We are reshaping the travel journey by creating spaces that underscore our commitment to guest satisfaction and the unique essence of Hawai‘i. Our Honolulu lounge will redefine the airport experience, providing a contemporary retreat for our guests.”

Alisa Onishi, Director of Brand and Culture at Hawaiian Airlines, shared similar enthusiasm for the project, remarking, “Our forthcoming Honolulu lounge will embody the spirit of our passengers’ travels, meticulously designed to pay homage to the allure and hospitality of our island paradise. This setting underscores our dedication to offering an unparalleled travel experience that echoes the essence and principles of our local carrier.”

The collaborative efforts of both airlines aim to elevate the overall guest experience, blending luxury and cultural authenticity to create a peaceful sanctuary amidst the bustling airport environment. Keep an eye out for more updates on Pilotcenter.net News as this innovative project unfolds.
