Thai Airways is set to elevate its passenger experience with the addition of two new A330 aircraft by December 2024, coinciding with the launch of a revamped premium class product featuring a dual-tiered Business Class. In an exclusive interview at the 68th Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) Assembly of Presidents in Brunei, Thai Airways CEO Chai Eamsiri revealed the exciting updates to Pilotcenter.net News.

Eamsiri disclosed that Thai Airways will soon introduce two Airbus A330 aircraft into its fleet, with one set to commence operations by December 2024 and the other scheduled for 2025. These new additions will facilitate the carrier's enhanced connectivity, including the reinstatement of its daily service to Brussels Airport (BRU) from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), as well as expanded routes to key Chinese cities like Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK).

As part of its transformation, Thai Airways will be undergoing a refurbishment process for its widebody fleet to accommodate the upgraded premium class offerings. Eamsiri shared that a total of 14 B777-300ERs and 30 new B787s will be outfitted with new passenger seats across three distinct classes: Business Class (comprising two variations), Premium Economy, and Economy.

With the aim of streamlining its cabin offerings, Eamsiri highlighted the decision to focus on three classes rather than four to ensure operational efficiency. The new business class will feature innovative enhancements, including individual privacy doors for each seat and two subclasses catering to different passenger needs. Notably, the front row Business Class seats will offer an elevated experience akin to First Class, complete with additional space and amenities such as an ottoman that transforms into a private dining or meeting table.

Moreover, Eamsiri emphasized the importance of In-flight Entertainment (IFE) in enhancing the overall passenger experience. Business Class passengers can look forward to 24-inch monitors, while Premium Economy and Economy cabins will feature 13-inch and 6-inch screens, respectively.

Thai Airways' commitment to innovation and passenger comfort underscores its dedication to providing a world-class travel experience for its passengers. With these exciting developments on the horizon, travelers can anticipate a new era of premium air travel with Thai Airways.
