United Airlines made an exciting announcement on December 19, 2024, revealing a major expansion in their network departing from Denver International Airport (DEN). Pilotcenter.net News is thrilled to share that among the eight new routes introduced, a standout addition is the seasonal nonstop connection from Denver to Rome-Fiumicino (FCO). This service is scheduled to run daily from May 1, 2025, to September 24, 2025, utilizing a Boeing 787-9 aircraft for the journey.

In addition to this much-anticipated link between Denver and the mesmerizing Italian capital, United Airlines is also enhancing connectivity from Denver to various destinations across North America. Travelers can look forward to new routes to Buffalo, New York (BUF), Pensacola, Florida (PNS), Peoria, Illinois (PIA), North Bend, Oregon (OTH), Redding, California (RDD), Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM), and Regina (YQR) in Saskatchewan, Canada.

With this route expansion, United Airlines solidifies its position as the primary carrier at DEN, boasting a comprehensive network of 160 domestic destinations and 20 international locations. Denver, popularly known as a gateway to the majestic Rocky Mountains, will now enjoy enhanced long-haul services thanks to this strategic initiative.

Despite Denver International Airport's status as one of the top 10 busiest airports globally, catering to nearly 78 million passengers in 2023, long-haul options have been somewhat limited. As of December 2024, United Airlines operates flights from Denver to key European cities such as London-Heathrow (LHR), Frankfurt (FRA), and Munich (MUC), along with Tokyo-Narita (NRT) in Japan.

Moreover, United Airlines' Star Alliance partner, Lufthansa, also serves Denver from Frankfurt and Munich. Travelers can choose from an array of European carriers connecting Denver to cities like London-Heathrow through British Airways, Paris through Air France (CDG), Dublin seasonally through Aer Lingus (DUB), Zurich seasonally through Edelweiss Air (ZRH), Keflavik through Icelandair (KEF), and Istanbul through Turkish Airlines, which recently inaugurated its route to Istanbul (IST). Exciting times lay ahead for travelers looking to explore new horizons with these expanded flight options from Denver International Airport.
