Vietjet, the Vietnamese low-cost carrier, recently announced an exciting new partnership with the Czech flight training school, F Air. This collaboration will see F Air providing flight training for Vietjet pilot trainees at the airline’s Aviation Academy’s (VJAA) Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) program in the Czech Republic. In a move that aims to meet European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards, this agreement is set to cultivate top-tier pilots for Vietnam's aviation sector and beyond.
Tran Huu Quoc, the Director of VJAA, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Partnering with a leading European flight training center enables Vietjet to secure a steady pipeline of internationally certified aviation professionals." This step signifies a strategic milestone in Vietjet’s pursuit of global connectivity, addressing the airline’s evolving requirements and long-term growth.
Vietjet emphasizes the critical importance of human resources in its development strategy and the wider aviation industry. As an IATA training partner in Vietnam, VJAA has been actively conducting pilot recruitment drives that align with the industry’s growth projections. Currently, VJAA plays a pivotal role in training and supplying over 200 pilots annually through comprehensive programs, including initial training and type-rating courses.
Established in 1990 at Benešov Airport (LKBE) in the Czech Republic, F Air boasts a rich legacy as the first flight school in the Czech Republic and Central and Eastern Europe. This new partnership between Vietjet and F Air underscores a shared commitment to excellence in aviation training and highlights a promising future for aspiring pilots in the region.
