Job Description
AIS Airlines is a Dutch regional airline based in Lelystad Airport, the Netherlands. The airline started in 2009 and currently operates several routes across Europe. We provide flexible service for customers looking for Scheduled flights, Wet Lease and full charter capacity.
With our fleet of eight BAE Jetstream 32 turbo-props we can quickly respond with a solution tailored to all needs. All our passengers can enjoy complimentary refreshments on board. Our strength lies in our on-board service and optimized business day-return schedules ideally for passengers conducting business and return same day. Besides scheduled services AIS Airlines is available for charter requests from point to point and the floating principle. Our professional crew is well trained and equipped to run every flight operation at the highest standard.
AIS Flight Academy is part of the same group and runs full ATPL courses, type ratings and MCC courses. Many of the students’ progress and work for AIS as First Officers through that cadet scheme.
The Pilot is the face of AIS providing not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also providing an exceptional service experience. The Pilot is expected to effectively wear many hats resulting in a concierge service level experience with roles ranging from professional aviator to in- flight service provider. The Pilot is always in full command of the aircraft and must always maintain a professional demeanour.
Entry requirements and competences:
- Must be qualified as commander
- Shall have, as a minimum, the following:
- An Airline Transport Pilot License, 1000 multi engine hours on turboprop/turbojet
(or equivalent up to the discretion of the DFO)
Valid Type rating for the aeroplane type is preferred but not essential. - Successfully pass an advanced compass test (including a CVP)
- Shall have, as a minimum, the following:
- An CPL, IR(A) and ME(A), minimum of 1750 hrs total time, 750 multi engine hours on
turboprop/turbojet (or equivalent up to the discretion of the DFO)
Valid Type rating for the aeroplane type is preferred but not essential. - Successfully pass an advanced compass test (including a CVP)
Hold a valid:
- Have the right to work and live in the EU.
- Flight Crew License (EASA)
- Medical class 1 (EASA, with adherence to the restrictions therein).
- Above-average flying skills
- Highly motivated
- Flexible and balanced team player personality
- Above standard professional leadership qualities to perform as an accepted leader
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid security background check
