Job Description
The Airbus TRI/TRE will belong to the Airbus Europe Training Centre (AETC) / Training department based in Blagnac (Toulouse) - Europe, and will conduct flight training and simulator training for various international customers. Commuting is not possible Within this scope, she/he will represent Airbus in front of the operators, and in front of the Authorities.
The Airbus TRI-TRE will work with different teams across the world and will have opportunities to develop her/his expertise in various fields and roles, including management / project positions.
PREREQUISITES
- Hold an EASA ATPL Licence
- Hold a Valid EASA TRI on A320+A330/A350 LIFUS
- Hold a Valid EASA Medical Class 1
- Hold a minimum English Language Proficiency Rating of 4 Fluent in English
- Hold a Low visibility Operations qualification (at least 1 Autoland on Airbus Fly By Wire (FBW) aircraft as Captain)
- Hold or have held an ETOPS qualification
- Flight hours experience required:
- A minimum of 5 000 hours as Pilot
- A minimum of 2 000 hours on Jet Large aircraft
- A minimum of 2 500 hours as Captain on Airbus Aircraft
- A minimum of 500 hours instructor experience in FFS on large aircraft,
- A minimum of 500hrs experience as Captain assigned to conduct LIFUS/IOE.
- A significant part of the obtained instructor experience have to be initial type rating oriented
- Qualify (current) and experienced as Captain and TRI on A320 + A330 / A350
- TRE experience is a plus
- Significant Commercial Airline Experience
- Evidence base training / Competences Base Training Assessment expertise is required
- Project management minded
- Managerial experience is a plus
- Experience in Flight Safety is a plus
Accountabilities
- The TRI/TRE reports directly to the Head of TRI/TRE, in the Flight Crew Training organisation in Airbus Training Center Europe (ATC EU).
- Belongs to the execution department.
Base
- The contract is based in Blagnac (nearby Toulouse).
- Commuting is not possible
- 3 years in a row, must be done in the execution department. After the first 3 years, possibilities of mobility inside Airbus.
Main activities
- Acts as TRI/TRE for Airbus,
- Line training or Line checking for Airbus
- Simulator training or Simulator checking for Airbus mainly in Toulouse.
- Support to TFOS community (Training & Flight Ops support)
- Support office activities on demand
- His/her roles are:
- To conduct best possible training & checking according to his/her qualifications within Airbus Training, to ensure a safe and efficient Entry into-service and operation of Airbus aircraft.
- In flight (Initial Operating Experience)
- In simulator
- To work on different projects on demand in the frame of TFOS
- To represent Airbus ATO and Manufacturer in front of the customer
- To support the customer, especially during the flight period, in order to ensure the entry into service, the safety.
- To have a proactive role, in order to identify the potential problems and find solutions to tackle them.
- To act as Team leader during Initial Operating Experience
- Coordination with the Airbus team
- Coordination with the airline
- To ensure standardisation, development, management tasks during his/her career within Airbus
- To maintain and upgrade her/his competences according to his/her qualification.
- Organisation of the work (Pattern)
- Cycle of 3 months
- 1 month of line training abroad (Usually 30 days in a row)
- 1 month of simulator training in priority and few ferry flights
- 1 month of simulator training in priority and few ferry flights
Specificities
When hired, the TRI/TRE has to convert his/her licence to the French State (DGAC), with the support of the standardisation department.
Probation period: 3 months minimum renewable
