ANA Group honored with gold status for LGBTQ+ inclusion in PRIDE index 24

Pilotcenter.net News is excited to report that for the ninth consecutive year, Japan's ANA Group has been awarded gold recognition in the PRIDE Index 2024 assessment by “Work With Pride”, a well-known Japanese nonprofit organization. The primary goal of the PRIDE Index is to cultivate work environments in Japan that are welcoming and supportive for LGBTQ+ individuals.
At the core of ANA's values is the commitment to creating a workplace that is safe and inclusive for all employees. The airline has taken proactive measures to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights by implementing various educational programs such as seminars, e-learning courses, and discussion groups. ANA Group formalized its dedication to diversity and respect for all sexual orientations by establishing the Basic Policy on Respect for Diversity of Sexuality (LGBTQ+).
In their continuous efforts to promote inclusivity and address LGBTQ+ issues, ANA Group mobilized close to 580 employees in 2023 to serve as allies, providing support and standing up for their LGBTQ+ coworkers. Junko Yazawa, Group Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer, highlighted the company's unwavering commitment to championing diversity, inclusion, and acceptance. "Our ‘ANA Group LGBTQ+ Policy’ underscores our mission to eradicate discrimination and bias through training and robust support systems," stated Yazawa.
Receiving the prestigious Gold recognition for the ninth year in a row is a major accomplishment for ANA Group, demonstrating their steadfast dedication to creating a workplace that is truly inclusive for all employees. Work With Pride assesses companies based on five key criteria: policy, representation, inspiration, development, and engagement/empowerment. Notably, 36 of ANA HOLDING’s group entities excelled in all evaluated categories, showcasing the organization's holistic approach towards fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
