Japan Airlines (JAL) has exciting news for travelers between India and Japan! Starting January 17, 2026, JAL will be launching direct flights between Tokyo Narita Airport and Indira Gandhi International Airport, expanding their route network and enhancing connectivity for passengers. This new service complements their existing Tokyo Haneda Airport-Delhi flights, offering more options and convenience for travelers.

The decision to introduce the Narita-Delhi route comes in response to the increasing travel demand between India, Japan, and North America, driven by India's thriving economy. JAL foresees this new service as a catalyst for further growth in travel between these regions. In conjunction with the current Narita-Bengaluru flights, this route solidifies Narita Airport's position as a vital connecting hub for passengers traveling to and from India and Japan.

To provide even more seamless travel experiences, JAL has initiated an enhanced codeshare agreement with Indian airline IndiGo. This codeshare will encompass JAL-operated flights between Japan and India, improving connections and options for passengers moving between these two countries. With this partnership and the launch of the Narita-Delhi route, JAL is committed to enhancing the travel experience for passengers and strengthening ties between India and Japan.
