In exciting aviation news, Pilotcenter.net News reports that United Airlines has finalized a lucrative deal with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) for the purchase and leaseback of 10 brand-new Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft. The esteemed lessor, backed by the Government of Dubai, officially sealed the agreement on July 28, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between the two aviation giants.

Scheduled for delivery between August 2025 and February 2026, these state-of-the-art Boeing 737-9 jets will soon join United's impressive fleet. Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to strengthen our valued relationship with United through this purchase-leaseback agreement. This latest addition to our partnership follows the recent successful acquisition of an Airbus A321neo leased to United, underscoring our ongoing dedication to the North American market." Tarapore further congratulated United on their continuous accomplishments and expressed eagerness to enhance their alliance in the years to come.

According to industry insights from ch-aviation, United Airlines currently awaits the delivery of 116 Boeing 737-9s, with 102 of the same model already in active operation. Furthermore, DAE made headlines in May 2025 with their acquisition of Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), solidifying their standing in the aviation leasing sector with a fleet comprising around 750 owned, managed, and committed aircraft.

As DAE continues to expand its portfolio, the company shows no signs of slowing down, with plans to acquire an additional 100 aircraft from industry leaders like Boeing, Airbus, ATR, and other key partners. This strategic move ensures both parties are well-positioned for future growth and success in the competitive aviation market.
